Dignity for All Students
On July 1, 2012, New York State's Dignity for All Students Act went into effect.
The purpose of the Dignity Act is to create a safe and supportive school climate where students can learn and focus, rather than fear being discriminated against and/or verbally and/or physically harassed.
The Friendship Central School District recognizes that learning environments that are safe and supportive can increase student attendance and improve academic achievement. A student's ability to learn and achieve high academic standards, and a school's ability to educate students, is compromised by incidents of discrimination or harassment, including but not limited to bullying, taunting and intimidation. If you wish to report an incident or a series of incidents of harassment, please complete The DASA form.
